For over 40 years, the Cinema Rentals stunt cameras has been establishing the trademark for filming dangerous action sequences.
Cinema Rental cameras have been used in over 3,500 film & video productions. Including the famous train/bus crash ("The Fugitive"). Producer Peter MacGregor-Scott said, "you would not want to be where we put their cameras."
Cinema Rentals unmanned aerial service was considered an industry pioneer, and was honored with a 1994 Technical Academy Award nomination. The tradition continues, currently operating as "Cine-Air, LLC".
Having been a Marine Consultant to the industry since 1978 with "Starsky & Hutch" and "Knots Landing", Jim Pearson expanded the company in 1989 with the addition of Cinema Aquatics in order to meet clients needs, and to best utilize the skill and experience of our nautical and underwater team.
Cinema Aquatics has been a film production resource for a range of watercraft. From rowboats to mega-yachts - for commercials, episodic television and feature films. Our underwater team has had the honor of training and safeguarding celebrities. We have also served as technical advisors for scripted military and commercial diving scenarios. In addition, Cinema Aquatics has provided custom dive engineering services to turn props into working components.
To maximize crew safety and efficiency, Cinema Aquatics has also established an "on-set" aquatics monitoring program with lifeguards, divemasters, marine medics, technicians, and water rescue divers.
